> The Conference

On behalf of the Organising Committee, we extend an invitation to everyone with an interest in dispute resolution processes to attend the 8th National Mediation Conference to be held in the beautiful city of Hobart, Tasmania. The conference will be a highlight on the Australasian calendar, attracting those at the forefront of dispute resolution and negotiation in Australia and overseas.

The theme for the conference recognises that often we are isolated in our work both professionally and geographically. However when we come together and share our experiences, expertise, and knowledge we realise that No Mediator is an Island.

The conference focuses on Celebrating Difference – Learning from each Other and provides an opportunity to exchange ideas, assess transferable skills, and consider current developments. A new component for the 2006 conference is an informative, interesting, and sometimes challenging skills program.

We are currently calling for Abstracts and anyone interested is able to submit their abstract on line following the links above.

On behalf of the Organising Committee we look forward to renewing past acquaintances and welcoming new delegates to the exciting and innovative world of dispute resolution.

Wendy Beveridge and Tony Newport
Co-Chairs
