being considered for approval by the Implementation Committee. It should include forms for application for appointment,
information standards they are required to pass to the
implementation committee and performance expectations.
The document will include provisions requiring acceptance
of the decision of the Implementation committee regarding
registration of them as an RMAB and decisions of the grievance
committee regarding either the RMAB or practitioners accredited by
them.

Grievance
Process
|
Develop
a clear, statement of procedure and possible powers of the
Committee. Such
powers should include as a minimum a range of powers from no
action required through to deregistration of either an RMAB or an
accredited practitioner. Ideally,
it will include requirements for further training, temporary
suspension, letters of concern and the authority to publish
findings. The process
detailed must address issues of equity, transparency, procedural
fairness and natural justice generally.
The document must be in such form that it is readily
understood, includes examples and also has simple information
sheets as indicative examples for users, practitioners and RMABs.

Awareness
& Promotion
|
Develop
a clear structured plan for the dissemination 0of information
about the standard and
work of other committees as it evolves.
The plan must address access to information for those
without access to the internet and in regional areas.
Ideally it will include a scheme that incorporates the
popular media, government and those community organisations where
literacy and legal understanding of the readers may be lower.
It is a matter for the Committee to determine if this
includes face to face elements.
Cost plans should be developed and this committee will have
to work closely with the Facilitator and the Finance Committee.

Finance
|
Develop
a budget and program of expenditure that recognises the costs
associated with the operation of the committees, the Facilitator
and the National Register. They
will seek out funding sources to meet the needs of the
Implementation committee and report to the Implementation
committee as required. The
accounts must be tracked and reported separately from the National
Mediation Conference Accounts and be presented publicly in a broad
sense. They should
seek out an organisation to audit the accounts at little or no
cost.

Training
|
Seek
out information on and settle clear guidelines for base level
training that will assist RMABs in considering approval of
training organisations and their products.
They will use the information provided in the approved
report of the Accreditation Committee as the guide for the
development of the standard and will work with current providers
of training to settle a sensible guide for the industry.
